Dictate Your Documents in Word

Did you know that our favorite feature in Microsoft Office, dictation, lets you convert your voice into text using just a microphone and a reliable connection? It is an easy and fast way to capture notes, create drafts, and outline content.

  1. Go to Home | Dictate in the Ribbon.
    * A microphone icon will appear.
  2. Start speaking to see text appear on the screen.
    Note: The dictation feature is only available to Microsoft 365 subscribers.
